1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Texa services, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
To use Texa, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Nigeria or Cameroon
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using financial services under applicable law
3. Account Registration
To access our services, you must create an account and complete identity verification (KYC). You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as needed
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
4. Services
Texa provides the following services:
- Money Transfers: Send money to other Texa users, bank accounts, and mobile money wallets
- Virtual Cards: Create virtual Mastercard cards for online purchases
- Bill Payments: Pay for TV subscriptions and other services
- Cross-Border Payments: Send money between Nigeria and Cameroon
5. Fees and Charges
Texa charges fees for certain services. All applicable fees will be disclosed before you confirm a transaction. By proceeding with a transaction, you agree to pay all associated fees.
6. Transaction Limits
We may impose limits on transactions based on your verification level, regulatory requirements, and risk assessment. These limits may be adjusted at our discretion.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use Texa for:
- Illegal activities, including money laundering or terrorist financing
- Fraudulent transactions or scams
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Circumventing security measures or transaction limits
- Creating multiple accounts or false identities
8. Beta Program
As a beta user, you acknowledge that:
- The app may contain bugs or errors
- Features may change without notice
- Service interruptions may occur
- Your feedback helps us improve the product
Despite being in beta, your funds are fully protected and all transactions are processed securely.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property in the Texa app are owned by Texa or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our services without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Texa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Texa services shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with applicable laws. You may also contact our support team to resolve issues informally.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited activities. You may also close your account at any time by contacting support.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. For users in Cameroon, local regulations may also apply.
